ANN ARBOR ? New Enterprise Forum will feature three business leaders as panelists during its next program, Building an Outstanding Management Team November 16 at the Holiday Inn North Campus in Ann Arbor.

With a focus on how to attract, build, and retain strong management team members, the discussion will provide attendees with advice and insight that is based in professional and practical experience. Panelists for the session include:

Timothy B. Petersen, Managing Director at Arboretum Ventures ? Tim and partner Jan Garfinkle launched Arboretum Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in healthcare and life sciences companies, in 2002. Previously, Tim served on the Board of Asterand and was Managing Director of the Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Michigan, where he also directed the activities of the Wolverine Venture Fund.

Richard Beedon, CEO of MacBeedon Group ? Dick founded MacBeedon Group, a sales consulting group, in March 2002 and is the architect of Engagement Selling?, the firm?s proprietary sales methodology process. His latest venture was the acquisition and subsequent turnaround of Entyre Doc Prep, where he helped develop the mortgage industry’s leading web services document creation and management software product X4. The company was sold to Wolters Kluwer, a multi-billion dollar financial services company based in Amsterdam, in October 2005.

Amy Cell, Director of Talent Acquisition for Ann Arbor SPARK ?Amy heads up SPARK?s programs to attract, develop and retain managerial, professional and technical talent that will drive innovative businesses in Washtenaw County. She has previously held roles in human resources management, co-founded the consulting partnership HR Drivers, based in Silicon Valley, where she helped develop outsourcing models and programs for HR service delivery to startups.
