ANN ARBOR – The New Enterprise Foundation on Feb. 19 will recognize and honor the leading NEF Entrepreneurs who presented elevator pitches to the networking group in 2008. The group also will celebrate its 23rd birthday.
Awards include:
NEF Entrepreneur of the Year
Ted Dacko: Ted is President of HealthMedia, recently acquired by Johnson & Johnson. He has more than 30 years of executive-level management experience, including Sales, Marketing, and the Chief Executive Office, principally in the area of software applications and solutions.
Prior to HealthMedia, Ted served as President and CEO at Centromine, an Internet-based behavioral health firm,
headquartered in Ann Arbor. He serves on several advisory committees, including the Senior Leadership Development Council of
Health Promotion Advocates, Health Enhancement Research Organization Think Tank, and the Institute for Health and Productivity Management.
Ted holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Waynesburg College in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Awards also will be given to entrepreneurs that have pitched at NEF
meetings in 2008, recognizing those whose presentations or ventures offered special promise. And of course, NEF will highlight another new enterprise in its first Showcase Presentation of 2009.
