ANN ARBOR –
NEW Solutions for Non-Profits has added Patricia Rinvelt, Jeff Hauptman, Janice
Williams Miller, K. Scott Vowels and Daniel Foss to its Board of
Trustees.
“This year,
we were very intentional about rebuilding our board,” said Michael Tyson,
President and CEO of NEW. “I’m looking forward to the new energy, ideas
and support each member brings to the table, particularly as NEW’s focus shifts
towards a more strategic direction.”
Rinvelt, the
Executive Director of the National Network of Depression Centers, has over 20
years of leadership experience in health care analytics, database operations
management, and product and solution development. In addition to her role
at the NNDC, she was appointed to the Michigan Health Information Technology
Commission to work with the Michigan Department of Community Health and serves
on the Michigan Health Information Network Board of Directors to foster an interoperable
health care information infrastructure in the state. She also holds an
adjunct teaching position in the College of Health and Human Services School of
Health Sciences at Eastern Michigan University.
Hauptman,
CEO of Oxford Companies, has led the Oxford family of companies from a
one-person investment holding entity to a fifty-member real estate investment
services company. Oxford now manages a portfolio of more than 2,000,000 square
feet valued at over $250,000,000. Jeff also serves as managing member to
several investment partnership firms, a trustee for the Ann Arbor Area
Community Foundation, is on the Board of Directors for the Ann Arbor Main
Street Area BIZ and is the co-chair of the Jewish Federation Salon Program.
Williams
Miller is Associate Director of Career Services at the University of Michigan
School of Social Work where she serves on the Advisory Board of the Leadership
in Community Benefit Organizations program. She is Vice President of Smart Girl
Foods and a 20-year publishing entrepreneur, incorporating manuscript
development, social media promotion, and online sales consultancy to
self-publishing authors. Her extensive advisement to social entrepreneurs has
included start-up, diversification, and growth phase consultancy as well as
Board service for educational, religious, community-based, musical, and alumni
organizations. Her prior corporate experience includes Xerox and the University
of Chicago Hospitals.
Foss is a
Relationship Manager at Old National Bank. He previously worked with
Children’s Orchard as the Vice President of Financial
Services.Prior to this, and as part of senior management, Daniel
managed the Small Business Lending Department of the Bank of Washtenaw (which
merged with Community Bank of Dearborn). Daniel has also served as
Chairman of the Board of the Washtenaw United Way as well as on the boards of
Washtenaw Camp Placement (Treasurer), Washtenaw Literacy (President and
Treasurer) andPerry Nursery School (Treasurer).
Vowels is senior
vice president and director of IT Security for Comerica Incorporated where he
oversees Comerica’s efforts to monitor, identify and protect against cyber
threats, as well as the company’s IT security operations and security
architecture and strategy. He is also involved in several security and
privacy organizations, including the Dragon Research group, a volunteer
research organization dedicated to making the Internet more secure; the
Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center, an industry
resource for cyber and physical threat intelligence analysis and sharing; and
other collaborative security organizations.
