WATERFORD – Now is the time to enroll in an exciting business training program presented by the Michigan Small Business & Technology Center that starts March 6 and runs through May 8, 2009.
Venture Forward is an intensive, ten-week program that uses the highly acclaimed FastTrac GrowthVenture learning system along with MI-SBTDC counseling and research support to help entrepreneurs evaluate their business issues and opportunities, while developing an action plan for increased sales and profit.
Venture Forward is sponsored by the Oakland County Business Center, DTE Energy and the NAWBO of Greater Detroit.
The program helps business owners learn several business development skills including how to:
Develop an overall business strategy for growth

Achieve a strong, competitive market position

Plan financial needs to avoid cash flow problems.
Structure operations for improved efficiency.
Determine whether a company has the right people to get the job done.
There are ten Friday sessions starting March 6 through May 8 with program times of 8:30-11:30 a.m. Early Bird registration cost is $250. Pricing after December 31, 2008 will be $299, which is reduced from the normal fee of $695 fee thanks to the sponsors.
