AUBURN HILLS ? Plexus Systems, which develops software that automates manufacturing processes, received an investment from Apax Partners, a $20 billion investment fund. But neither side would disclose how much was invested in Plexus.
Plexus has developed an on demand software model that allows a single, standard code base to be accessed and shared by multiple clients over the Internet. Plexus Online consists of more than 350 fully-integrated modules that support all aspects of a manufacturing company, from shop floor to top floor. More than 260 customers use Plexus products.
“Based on our experience investing in a range of software and SaaS companies, it is clear to us that Plexus is well-positioned in the ERP/MES market,? said Jason Wright, principal of Apax Partners.
Roger Hurwitz, partner of Apax Partners, and Jason Wright, a principal of Apax Partners, will join Plexus? board of directors.
