LANSING – President Barack Obama continues to lead his Republican rival Mitt Romney in the latest poll of Michigan voters released by Rasmussen Reports, but his margin has slipped some.

Released Tuesday, the latest poll showed Obama favored by 48 percent of those questioned compared to 42 percent favoring Romney. Another 5 percent favored another candidate, while 4 percent were undecided.

But Obama’s percentage dropped slightly from the last poll Rasmussen released in June. In that poll, Obama was favored by 50 percent of those asked.

Romney’s support has not changed from 42 percent in June, however.

The poll was conducted of 500 likely voters on Monday. The error rate in the poll is plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
