DETROIT – If you are looking to get involved in entrepreneurship opportunities in the clean tech, medical technology and logistics industries, come to TechTown’s First Friday on June 5 and hear a panel discussion giving a preview of FastTrac to a New Detroit.
The New Economy Initiative recently partnered with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and created this $10 million initiative to provide entrepreneurship counsel and proven programs to help spur entrepreneurial activity. TechTown has received $5 million of the grant to support the Kauffman Foundation in establishing its award-winning FastTrac program for budding entrepreneurs in Detroit.
FastTrac to a New Detroit will begin on June 24, 2009 with a free all-day conference.
The First Friday discussion will cover the following:
Agenda for the June 24 event
The FastTrac training programs that will be offered following the June 24 event
Types of companies and entrepreneurs appropriate for the different programs
The discussion will be led by TechTown Executive Director Randal Charlton and Business Services Director Judy Johncox. Support leaders from SmartStart, TechTown?s business development program, will also speak about TechTown?s involvement in FastTrac to a New Detroit.
