LANSING – Registration is open for Entrepreneur Connect 2011, a first-time event showcasing the energy and direction of entrepreneurship in Michigan. The two-day event is set for June 9-10 at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development in Lansing.

It will be presented by Great Lakes Entrepreneur?s Quest (GLEQ), Lansing Economic Area Partnership (Leap, Inc.), Michigan State University Entrepreneurship Network (msuENet) and East Lansing Technology Innovation Center.

“We are tapping into significant Michigan State alumni expertise as the event partners build out the agenda ,? says Miche Suboski, Champion of Entrepreneurship at Leap, Inc. ?It was important that we found an expert in business development and marketing that also understands the life cyle of an entrepreneur. Dan Roselli , President of REDF?s Digital Marketing business, was a perfect match for this programming need.”

Dan Roselli is in charge of all of REDF?s Digital business development and client engagements. Dan is an expert in navigating large, multi-national and matrix structured organizations. He opens the lines of communication and provides the strategic direction and marketing savvy cultivated from his extensive and classical marketing background. Dan developed his marketing expertise with Bank of America, Mars, Inc, Colgate-Palmolive and General Mills.

?While Dan has worked for and on behalf of major corporations, he understands that digital marketing has provided a paradigm shift in how companies of all sizes do business,? said Denyse Ferguson, President and CEO of Leap. ?Digital marketing levels the playing field to an extent. Entrepreneurs will walk away from listenting to Dan feeling like they can compete for market space with larger companies based on how they market to and develop clients for their product or service offering.?

In addition to confirming Matt Durfee as a keynote, the planning partners have released a YouTube video that highlights the purpose and importance of the event to the Greater Lansing Region, participating entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial service otganizations.

The event will also include educational sessions on angel investing, investment opportunities and grant funding as well as opportunities for mentoring and business connections. Start-up ventures can take part in a BOOST Greater Lansing pre-pitch competition and GLEQ Emerging Company Finalists will have an opportunity to practice their pitches before the evening?s awards ceremony. Day one will culminate with an Idea Mixer reception hosted by the MSU Alumni Association, a strolling dinner featuring desserts from local entrepreneurs, music from MSU student groups and presentation of the GLEQ awards.
