EAST LANSING ? Registration is open for the 2012 MichBio Expo, Michigan?s largest annual gathering of bioscience leaders, scheduled for Nov. 7-8 at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center at Michigan State University. The annual event typically attracting about 450-500 attendees.

Keynote Speaker is Teresa Stanek Rea, Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director, US Patent and Trademark Office.

Day one features the opening of the Exhibit Hall, tours of East Lansing-area bioscience facilities, track sessions in Pharma, Medical Devices, Emerging Business and Bio-based/Ag-bio Technologies, a manufacturing suppliers track, and part of the 6th Annual Emerging Biosciences Showcase, where early-stage bio-companies present their technologies to an audience of investors and other Expo attendees. The day?s activities end with the Expo Opening Reception.

Day two features additional track sessions in Pharma, Medical Devices, Emerging Business and Bio-based/Ag-bio Technologies, the conclusion of the Emerging Biosciences Showcase, and finishes with keynote speaker, Teresa Stanek Rea, Deputy Director of the USPTO. We will also be presenting the ?Legislator of the Year,? ?Good to Great,? and ?Innovator of the Year? awards.
