OXFORD – Relume Technologies, a leading manufacturer of light-emitting diode products and smart grid control systems for outdoor lighting applications, was chosen by the City of Canton, Ohio to supply LED light engines to upgrade hundreds of the community’s decorative lighting fixtures.
Relume?s retrofit fixtures fit most post top lights, allowing the City to upgrade to high performing LED light engines in minutes, while retaining the relatively costly exiting fixture. The new light engines will lower the city?s energy consumption and the resulting carbon footprint.

Relume?s LED outdoor lights use 40 percent of the electricity of conventional streetlights and last up to six times longer. The substantial savings in reduced energy and maintenance costs results in an average payback on investment of less than four years. In addition, the bright white LEDs provide a clear, crisp daylight look for enhanced visibility and safety.
