Innovating at Amway – September 8th, Grand Rapids.Doug

DeVos current President of Amway will share insights into their approach to

innovation. The company is now estimated at over $11 Billion dollars. Founded

in 1959 by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Adnel it is still headquartered in West

Next Energy V2B Mashup – September 9th, Detroit.This

one day event in Detroit will bring together connected vehicle technology and

connected building technology to foster new business development in the V2B

Innovate Michigan Summit – September 10th, East Lansing.Calling

all inventors and entrepreneurs, this event is for you! The Michigan Inventors

Coalition, a network of inventors, is holding a day long event focused on

invention and innovation. The summit

takes place on September 10th and features speakers including Christal

Sheppard the USPTO Director of Detroit Office,Dhana Cohn Co-founder of

Inventorz network, several panel discussions and more.

Techonomy – September 15th, Detroit.The Techonomy

conference is back this year to continue an in-depth conversation around

technology and innovation in Detroit. The conference always has a great mix of

national speakers and highlighting local leaders too. Speakers from Ford,

Monster, IBM and the City of Detroit will share insights at this day long

City as a Startup – September 16th, Detroit.The

following day in Detroit is a new conference called “City as a

Startup” hosted by Venture for America. The conversation continues but

this time with a greater focus on entrepreneurship in cities and the

opportunity in Detroit. Billionaire Dan Gilbert and other local entrepreneurs

will share insights. Venture For America is a program placing entrepreneurial

talent into urban areas. We’re excited to hear their insights on Detroit and

lessons from other cities.

Flywall: Detroit Speed Consulting – September 17th,

Detroit.This unique event is perfect for a new or growing
