LANSING – Governor-elect Rick Snyder said his inauguration as the state’s 48th governor would emphasize “Michigan’s can-do entrepreneurial spirit” in announcing the inaugural theme of the “Power of MI.”

“We need to bring winning back to Michigan and the first place we have to start is with our own perceptions we have about the state we call home,” Snyder said Friday in a statement. “I want a different kind of inauguration, where everyone from across Michigan can participate and play a part in reinventing our state. That is what the Power of MI is all about.”

Snyder also announced that Linda Gobler, president and CEO of the Michigan Grocers Association, and Patricia Mooradian, president of The Henry Ford, would serve as the inauguration’s co-chairs.
