LANSING – State Rep. Kevin Daley has been recognized with a Friend of Corn Award by the Michigan Corn Growers Association to honor him for his efforts in supporting our state?s corn industry.
?As a farmer himself, Rep. Daley brings a unique, firsthand understanding of Michigan?s agriculture industry to the Legislature,? said Scott Lonier, President of the MCGA. ?He always takes the time to educate fellow lawmakers and his constituents about farming and the benefits of corn, including fueling our cars with ethanol and nourishing our animals with livestock feed.?
Daley, chair of the House Agriculture Committee, was presented with the Friend of the Corn Award in his legislative office because he could not attend MCGA?s Annual Meeting, which was held last week during a House session.
