GRAND RAPIDS – Top student entrepreneurs from seven local colleges and universities will compete on April 12 in the Regional Business Plan Competition to win $5,500 in seed capital and numerous consulting services.

This Second annual competition will bring together students from GVSU, Aquinas, Calvin, Cornerstone, Davenport, GRCC and Hope. Their innovative business ventures will be evaluated by veteran judges Amanda Chocko, Program Director for Momentum; Carl Erickson, President & Co-Founder of Atomic Object; Jennifer Greenop, Assurance Partner with Ernst & Young LLP; Harvey Koning, Partner with Varnum LLP and Kristine White, VP of Innovation & Public Affairs with Spectrum Health System and President of Spectrum Health Innovations, LLC.

Event sponsors Ernst & Young LLP, Varnum LLP, the GVSU Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and the West Michigan Colleges & Universities Group are proud to support this entrepreneurial showcase.

The competition will be held on Grand Valley State University?s downtown Grand Rapids Pew Campus in the Loosemore Auditorium, DeVos Bldg E from 6-9pm on April 12. The event is free and hors d?oeuvres will be served. Parking is provided on GVSU?s Fulton St. lot.
