SAGINAW TOWNSHIP ? Suniva has announced it will recruit another 75 people by mid-January to work at its factory near Saginaw, formerly a Sears Warehouse, joining about 30 people who already are building high efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells and modules.
Suniva has partnered with Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! Qualified candidates will take the required pre-employment test. And those who successfully complete the test will get interviews. Pre-employment testing begins this week, and interviews may begin as early as Dec. 15.

Basic requirements include a high school diploma, ability to read and write in English, basic math and computer skills, and be able to operate equipment and interact with automated equipment with computer interfaces. The job also requires candidates to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to pass a fit-for-duty pre-screening test. Factory experience is desirable.
