ATLANTA – In

a survey, iPhone 6s consumers were most excited about the rumored new

12-megapixel camera (32 percent), followed by a more durable frame and faster

A9 Processor (20 percent).

The survey, done

by Protect Your Bubble, queried more than 625 people across the country and

took the pulse of a variety of topics relating to the iPhone experience, as

well as the rumored new features of the iPhone 6s, tentatively slated for

release in late September.

47 percent

of participants currently own either an iPhone 6 or 6+, and another 48 percent

said they own either the iPhone 5 or 5s.

Protection for the new phone continues to be a high priority. 72 percent of

participants think the larger size for the iPhone 6 and 6+ has made it more

susceptible to drops, cracked screens and bending. As a result, 35 percent said

they would improve the new iPhone 6s by adding a shatter- and scratch-proof

screen, followed by 32 percent who suggested making the device completely

waterproof.

“Camera technology has been a point of interest for many iPhone users, but

battery life (29 percent) ranked as the most important area where people would

like to see improvements,” said Stacey Vogler, U.S. Managing Director for

Protect Your Bubble. “Simply put, we’re using these devices more and more,

sometimes non-stop throughout the day. And in that environment, accidents will

happen, especially when these devices are getting thinner and larger to

accommodate the enhanced user experience.”

Although the majority of people said they’re most excited about enhancements to

the camera as a new feature, the majority of people (28.9 percent) said they

wished their battery life was improved. This is not surprising since smartphone

users are continuously “connected” on their devices throughout the day.

On the lighter side, the majority of participants think Siri’s voice should be

changed to Jennifer Lopez (36 percent), followed by their own voice (24

percent), their spouse (20 percent), Antonio Banderas (12 percent) and their

parent (8 percent).

Protect Your Bubble provides protection plans on devices which covers damage

from drops, liquid spills and malfunction, and items are replaced by the next

day. Device plans start at $5.99 per month, and the more devices protected, the

more people can save.
