HOLLAND – Twice as many education and health care employers are planning to increase their information technology staff during the next six months as did during the last six months, reports a new survey by Paragon Recruiting.
Manufacturing companies are least likely to be adding IT workers. Overall the hiring trends for the next half year are very similar to the last half year, with just over a quarter of responding companies planning to increase IT staff.
?My office has certainly seen an uptick in activity with companies seeking candidates and with people accepting new IT positions,? said Paragon Recruiting CEO Elizabeth DeWilde. ?So I was expecting to see a larger percentage of firms planning to hire, but this is still looking positive.?
Over one-third of the responding companies will be outsourcing some IT projects as has been the case for the past year, but even more firms seem to be using multiple resources. Local outsourcing is still predominant.
