DETROIT – TechTown’s First Friday networking event Oct. 3 at 4 p.m.will feature William Abbatt and John Nemazi of Brooks Kushman P.C. will discuss the pitfalls and opportunities of intellectual property.
Abbatt’s intellectual property practice includes patent, trademark and copyright prosecution, plus enforcement, transactional work, and licensing. He counsels clients on ways in which they can enhance the value of their IP portfolio. He has a particular affinity for working with small and mid-sized, emerging corporations whose value can be greatly enhanced through effective management of their intellectual property.
Nemazi’s practice reflects his belief that he is an engineer at heart. He heads the patent prosecution group at Brooks Kushman, where he provides a unique service that combines elements of law, marketing, and design.
