TROY – CJPS Enterprises, the operator of the Michigan Life Sciences Pipeline, announced it has posted online more resources for Michigan companies looking for assistance to enter the healthcare market, or to grow their existing healthcare
business.
This project is dedicated to providing users with information regarding
the life sciences. A number of helpful resources, mostly from around the
state, can be found on this website, including information about
Michigan-based funding sources, economic development organizations,
SmartZones, universities and technology transfer offices, national
biotechnology non-profit organizations, and other Michigan general
resources.
In particular, there is a market research report database, which
consists of hundreds of market information sources on the healthcare
industry, which can be searched using keywords. This facilitates finding
multiple sources of market reports, with direct links and contact
information, as well as size, pricing and date of publication for these
reports. Between fifty and one hundred reports are being added every month.
In addition, hundreds of Michigan companies involved in the healthcare
industry are listed, and that list is growing monthly as more and more
companies are diversifying into this exciting market, or are joining the
Pipeline network, where the basic membership is free. That database is also
searchable, so that if, for example, someone is looking for a contract
manufacturer involved in medical devices, the member companies that contain
the words “contract manufacturing” in their online description will be
found by the users.
More resources will be added regularly on the site, including a place
where individual or institutional investors can “meet” with entrepreneurs
looking for funding to exchange information confidentially.
This initiative to grow the life sciences industry in Michigan was
created by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to create a
network of researchers, entrepreneurs and service providers. The project
was created through the $2 billion 21st Century Jobs Fund to assist
companies within, or entering, the healthcare sector.
