GRAND RAPIDS – The West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative’s fifth annual Life Science Business Showcase on April 23 will feature more than 30 life science and medical device companies, inventors and entrepreneurs from across the region, exhibiting their innovation and successes in the life science industry. Registration deadline is April 17.
No other event in Michigan brings life science innovators in therapeutic, diagnostic and medical device companies together with business and community leaders for an evening of idea generation, conversation and opportunity.
At a time when many are lamenting Michigan’s struggling economy, the Life Sciences Business Showcase provides opportunities for science and technology entrepreneurs to share their exciting ideas and products that will help grow our economy and shape the future of our region.
The cost to attend is $50. The registration deadline is Friday, April 17, 2009 (members of the media attend free).

The West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative WMSTI.Org is a partnership among Grand Valley State University, Van Andel Research Institute, the City of Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Community College, The Right Place, Inc., and health care providers and educators. The Initiative is dedicated to creating an environment that advances innovation and supports the commercialization of life science and technology. Since its inception, the Initiative has assisted more than 300 clients in commercialization of new products, including funding through receipt of more than $9 million in federal and state grant awards.
