GRAND RAPIDS – Where do we stand on the Michigan Business Tax? What does it mean for you and your company? Is it going to be repealed? These and other questions will be explored Friday Nov. 21 at the Right Place Program Technology Council�??s Fourth Friday forum.
Ron Kaley has spent the last year touring Michigan on behalf of the MACPA to discuss and educate the business community about the MBT. He will bring to our group an update of what has happened to date and how will affect you, as well as a discussion of pending legislation.
Kaley is a tax professional with almost 20 years of experience in manufacturing, service, and public accounting environments. He has created and implemented tax planning and compliance services for individuals and business clients, including publicly held companies. Ron is knowledgeable in domestic corporate and partnership law and also international tax law. In addition, he consults in multi-state tax concerns including sales, use, and business tax issues. Prior to joining EHTC, Ron worked for the Internal Revenue Service in the Field Audit Group where he gained valuable insight into the IRS’ audit procedures and personnel. Ron received his masters degree from Western Michigan University and his undergraduate degree from Aquinas College.
