– The Michigan Women’s Foundation is seeking applicants for the 2015

Entrepreneur You competitions for business plans and pitches, an annual event

for women entrepreneurs in the state.

Applicants

have until 5 p.m. July 13 to apply for either the Grand Rapids or Southeast

Michigan competitions, where they can win cash and professional support from

existing entrepreneurs.

Interested

applicants must be from Michigan-based business that are women-owned or women-led

at any stage of the business in any industry. They must submit a two-page

concept paper for consideration that will be reviewed by a panel of business

and industry professionals. Between Aug. 7-10, 20 finalists will be chosen and

matched with coaches who will help hone business plans and pitching skills.

Those

finalists will then pitch their ideas between Sept. 24-25 in a “Dolphin Tank,”

a kinder, gentler version of the hit TV show “Shark Tank.” Winners will be

selected by a panel of judges.

The Southeast

Michigan competition will be held on Oct. 9 and the Grand Rapids competition

will be held on Oct. 10.
