ROYAL OAK – Women in Communications of Detroit is accepting nominations for its top awards celebrating excellence in the communications field – its annual Vanguard and Diamond awards.
The Vanguard Award recognizes an individual or organization for
innovatively employing a communications medium in 2007. Last year’s winner
was Model D e-zine for its alternative and refreshing form of urban journalism.
The Diamond Award honors an individual or organization for improving
conditions for women in the workplace or portraying women positively in
media. Last year’s winner was Corp Publishing LLC for its focus on women in
business in its Corp! business magazine.
Vanguard and Diamond Award nominations must be postmarked by March 1,
2008. Award winners will be honored during WIC’s Matrix Awards celebration
in May 2008.
