WIXOM ? Youngsoft, a software developer for business, now has added an Apple game app to its product portfolio, a puzzle app called Treasure Zap.

?Being a technology company, we wanted to get into gaming,? said Youngsoft President Rupesh Srivastava. ?We have always experimented with technology and have developed other apps for Apple.?

Srivastava is president of TiE Detroit.

Sridhar Krishnamurthi, who lead the Youngsoft development team, said Treasure Zap only took a few months to write the code. The beta version was launched at the end of October. The next version launched in December. Treasure Zap sells for 99 cents at the iTunes store.

?It?s one of those games we hope people flying on planes we play to amuse themselves,? he said. ?We also think it is an interesting app for kids.?

The game creates a fictional Skull Island, where your very survival relies on your wit and will. Allow the Skull Timer to reach zero and Skull Island sinks ? taking priceless magical artifacts, not to mention YOU along with it. To appease the island?s mystical spirits, we must play their matching game, demonstrating our worthiness to claim these hallowed treasures.
