ANN ARBOR – Supported Intelligence announced it is partnering with a team of University of Michigan engineering students to research and prototype an innovative application for use with connected vehicles. Supported Intelligence developed the revolutionary Rapid Recursive decision software.
Supported Intelligence has created a prototype applying the Rapid Recursive method to connected vehicle traffic management, and is working to prove its applicability in real-world situations.
“We are pleased to join with talented engineers at the University of Michigan to see if we can make a breakthrough in this exciting area of technology and mobility,” said Patrick L. Anderson, the founder and Executive Chairman of Supported Intelligence LLC, “we hope we can accelerate the commercialization of this technology right here in the heart of the emerging connected car industry, and rely upon some talented young engineers to build the world’s first prototype of its kind.”
The students are members of MECC Consulting Group, an organization at the University of Michigan that provides pro-bono consulting to local businesses and organizations. MECC Consulting Group will be working with Supported Intelligence in bringing this innovative solution to market. MECC will assist by scoping the current market for traffic solutions, identifying the competitive advantages of the Rapid Recursive method, and modifying the prototype to move further towards commercialization.
“MECC is excited to be working with Supported Intelligence this semester,” said Andrew Moore, a MECC Project Manager, “it’s a great opportunity for us to gain professional experience while at the same time having a real business impact.”
The MECC team will be led by Andrew Moore with Anmol Anand, Steven Huang, Anish Ravipati, and Kevin Zheng as consultants. EJ Lin, a senior MECC member, will be an advisor to the project.
MECC Consulting Group is a premier pro-bono student consulting organization at the University of Michigan. With more than 50 members in diverse engineering and business fields, MECC is dedicated to adding impact at local clients through semester-long projects, exposing members to prospective employers through networking events, and growing our members through professional development sessions.
