DETROIT – Michelle Gilbert, Vice President Public Relations, Comcast Cable Heartland Region, returned to talk about Internet Essentials, a low cost (less than $10/mo) internet connection package for low income families to bridge the digital divide.
Michelle also outlined Comcast’s recent campaign to increase the number of xfinity wifi hotspots available around the state. Over 700 hotspots have been set up in Detroit, Royal Oak, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Grosse Pointe and Ann Arbor.

News Flash: Michelle announced that new Comcast hotspots will soon be appearing in Lansing and Grand Rapids this summer. These hotspots are free access points for all Comcast customers AND are open to non-Comcast customers 2 hours/month for free as well.
