DETROIT – Two Detroit students at Kalamazoo College got fed up with the typical school bookstore hustle: incredibly high costs at the beginning of the school semester followed by incredibly low prices on those same books when the semester is over.  Is there no way to beat this “shell game”?

Kalamazoo College Juniors, Darryl Lewis and Shawn Fair Jr.  took the bull by the horns and created a smartphone mobile app called Book Cycle. The free, simple to use mobile app allows students, and any registered user, to buy, sell and swap books directly with other.  The app features a built-in ISBN Scanner, Chat function, alerts, and searching capabilities powered by Amazon Search and Google Maps to help users easily find and safely secure books they’re looking to buy, sell or share.
