OKEMOS – The

Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association has teamed up with the Indiana Renewable

Energy Association and the Ohio Green Energy Association to promote the

Michigan Renewable Energy Fair June 26 and 27 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds.

“This is a

big deal and they too have hundreds of active members,” said Allan O’Shea MREF

co-chair. “We are having a roundtable for all three states at the fair. In

addition we are going to have a great scholarship lottery.”

O’Shea said

the lottery will include a $1,500 scholarship as well as numerous $500

scholarships. Plus the Fair will feature the EV Car Association showing off

some of the unique vehicles in Michigan. He’s hopeful the all-electric Tesla

will be on display as well. Rides in these vehicles will be given during the fair.

“All of this

along with a great program for children from 3-13,” O’Shea said. “Last but

certainly not lease, we are starting an all new Michigan Solar Users

Network for people that actually have and are using solar in their homes or

business. So far that is more than 5000 in Michigan.”
