ANN ARBOR ? The Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber announced its line-up of nine state-level policy makers who will speak at Impact 2011, the Chamber’s annual public policy forum October 14.

This year?s program will include an education panel featuring State Board of Education President John Austin and a legislative forum with State Senators Randy Richardville and Rebekah Warren, and State Representatives Mark Ouimet, Jeff Irwin, David Rutledge and Rick Olson. Attendees will also hear from a special executive panel featuring Michael Finney, CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and David Behen, Chief Information Officer for the State of Michigan. The program will be moderated by Tim Skubick, anchor and producer of the weekly public television series ?Off the Record.?

Impact 2011 will highlight the special role Washtenaw County is now playing at the state level. From education policy and legislative initiatives, to economic development and collaboration and best practices; leaders from Washtenaw County are playing a key role in making these decisions. The program is intended to further knowledge of these critical public policy issues that affect our community, as well as to provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to meet and mingle with local decision makers and each other.
