TROY – Automation Alley has hired a new events and promotions manager Diane DeForest, who performed the same duties for the Detroit Economic Club.

DeForest will take the lead on several of the association?s signature events, including the upcoming Automation Alley 13th Annual Awards Gala on Sept. 13 as well as business conferences, the Annual Golf Outing, seminars and networking events.

Diane brings a unique set of skills and talents to the table. She also has experience working with several successful companies. We are excited to have her join our team.?

Prior to being hired at Automation Alley, DeForest was director of marketing and communications for the Detroit Economic Club, with a hand in more than 140 events. She was also the marketing lead at Starbucks? regional office in Rochester Hills, directing marketing and public relations campaigns for 400-plus Starbucks stores in the Midwest and on the East Coast. DeForest has also worked as marketing director for Kmart and mall developer Taubman Company. She studied business and marketing at Eastern Michigan University.
