DETROIT – Noted auto industry analysts Jim Gillette, Independent Auto Industry Analyst and former director at IHS, and David Andrea, vice president, industry analysis and economics, Original Equipment Suppliers Association, will present an Automotive Outlook 2014 on Jan. 14 at the Detroit Athletic Club.
The meeting will begin with networking, registration and breakfast from 7 am to 8 am, followed by the presentation. Andrea and Gillette will outline various OEM and supplier scenarios, considering union issues, product mix, fuel prices and government assistance. These scenarios will be discussed in relation to production forecasts and the implications on suppliers as the North American automotive industry continues its restructuring effort.

Gillette, Director, Independent Auto Industry Analyst serving ten years as Director of Automotive Analysis at IHS providing information and analysis support for clients with investment interests in the global auto industry, Jim Gillette now works with a diverse client base as an Independent Auto Industry Analyst.
Andrea is Vice President, Industry Analysis and Economics of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association. In his position at OESA, Andrea is responsible for several of the Association’s business councils, coordinating research with outside consulting firms and other special projects, and assisting with media relations.
