TROY – Billhighway has hired Kathryn Lazarski, a senior at Oakland University, for its marketing team.
Lazarski brings strong writing, public relations, marketing, and leadership skills to her role at Billhighway. She serves as the social media chairperson of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and the public relations chair of Oakland University?s Greek Council. As marketing intern, Lazarski will assist with lead generation, market research, multi-channel engagement campaigns, public relations and social media. In addition to attending school full-time and working at Billhighway, she is a Red Patrol Member for Olympia Entertainment where she runs contests and viewing parties for the Detroit Red Wings.
Lazarski will have the opportunity to give back to the local community and participate in professional development courses as part of the company?s charitable volunteer program (CVP) and Billhighway University. The CVP gives team members two paid days off per year to volunteer for the charity of their choice. In all, Billhighway commits to 800 hours (100 days) of community service to drive positive social change.
?Internships should include a component of community involvement to provide a well-rounded experience,? said Brenda Gallick, Billhighway?s Director of Team Member Success. ?It?s our job as employers to educate young professionals on what the local area has to offer, to increase the likelihood that they will stay in Michigan after graduation.?
