LIVONIA – As part of MTV Networks’ niche programming strategy to super-serve targeted audiences, the award-winning NOGGIN and The N, two of Nickelodeon’s and MTVN Kids and Family Group brands that currently share a single channel, will be separated into two 24-hour services on Bright House Networks beginning New Year’s Eve.

On December 31, the commercial-free preschool network NOGGIN will expand to 24-hours, and will now offer more of the network?s quality, educational children?s programming. The N will remain ad-supported and will serve tweens and teens with programming from Nickelodeon’s popular TEENick block during the day, and The N?s original and acquired teen-targeted programming at night.

On Bright House Networks, NOGGIN will remain on its current channel 110 and The N will move into the current channel position occupied by the Nick Games and Sports channel (GAS), channel 117. GAS will evolve into a new broadband service for TurboNick.

?Having NOGGIN and The N as two separate channels alongside Nicktoons Network gives our core audiences of preschoolers, kids 6-11 and tweens/teens their own dedicated 24-hour services, as well as more places for us to cultivate and develop future hits,? said Cyma Zarghami, President, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group. ?Making these highly valued channels separate and distinct will also provide us with the opportunity to explore serving audiences adjacent to these demos, and will provide demo-specific home bases for our vast programming library.?

NOGGIN, with its mission to be a place where preschoolers gain key curricular knowledge through interactivity and narrative, features a schedule of original programming including Jack?s Big Music Show, Oobi and The Upside Down Show, in addition to showcasing music from popular children?s recording artists like The Laurie Berkner Band. The network also offers hit shows including Bill Cosby?s Little Bill, Franklin, Max & Ruby, Little Bear, Pinky Dinky Doo, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and Oswald, in addition to Nick Jr. favorites like Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go!, The Wonder Pets!, Blue?s Clues and The Backyardigans.

The N will now feature hit TEENick programming during the day including Drake and Josh, The Amanda Show, and Unfabulous, among others. Programming at night will feature The N?s current stable of original hits including, Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Best Years and South of Nowhere, as well as hit acquired series Dawson?s Creek, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The Hills. New upcoming original programming includes new seasons of Degrassi, Instant Star, South of Nowhere, Beyond the Break and the original comedy About A Girl as well as the hit series Saved by the Bell and That ?70s Show.
