WASHINGTON, D.C. – Butzel Long has entered into a new venture that broadens its resources in the Washington, D.C. market by joining forces with the former Tighe Patton Armstrong Teasdale PLLC, which has been renamed Butzel Long Tighe Patton, PLLC.

The entity, of which Butzel Long is a member, includes a total of 22 attorneys, including a mix of highly regarded federal regulatory lawyers, seasoned litigators and experienced business attorneys. Butzel Long continues to be an independent law firm and none of its lawyers are individual members of the new venture.

“While Butzel Long has a well-established appellate practice and has an existing presence in the D.C. market, this new arrangement opens the doors to deeper resources and a wider breadth of regulatory and legislative expertise in the area,” said Philip J. Kessler, chairman of Butzel Long. “The team that comprises Butzel Long Tighe Patton complements our firm both professionally and culturally. This is an exciting venture.”

Through Butzel Long Tighe Patton, PLLC, clients can access representation in the D.C. area, including counseling and advocacy in federal regulatory matters and representation before the legislative and executive branches of government. In addition, Butzel Long Tighe Patton’s lawyers will provide added depth in areas such as international trade and business litigation, corporate and business law, insurance, bankruptcy, criminal defense and investigation, public contracts and procurement, securities compliance and telecommunications.
