TROY – The planning committee for the second annual Great Lakes BI and Big Data Summit has issued a call for speakers to address the day-long conference March 13, 2014, at the Detroit Marriott Troy.
In its inaugural year, the Summit was attended by nearly 200 of the area’s top business and technology leaders from companies of all sizes from all over Michigan and Ohio.
?We?ll be discussing Big Data and business intelligence,? said Quaid Saifee, WIT Inc. President. ?We?re looking for keynote speakers, case studies, best practices. We?d like to have local speakers, but if somebody really good from outside the area wants to speak, we?d love to have them join us.?
Speakers will be admitted free of charge, Saifee said. Attendees were charged $99 last year, but this year?s fee may be a little higher. Final details will be made public after Thanksgiving.
The first conference in March drew about 175 attendees. Saifee said he hoped to double that number this year.
Themes this year include:
Big Data
BI in the Cloud
Data Governance
Data Visualization
Mobile BI
Other Innovations
