WEST BLOOMFIELD ? Think of Mr. Potato Head for the iPhone. Well that’s what Captain Moustache, a start up developing mobile applications for Apple products, wants you to do with its latest product, Simple Pumpkin Face, out just in time for Halloween.
Simple Pumpkin Face offers a myriad of exciting face options, backgrounds and words to show off personal style and flare for the spooktacular holiday. This app that can create up to 1,500 configurations is friendly for kids and adult trick or treaters alike.
Simple Pumpkin Face is easy to share with others. One click and it?s on Facebook, another it?s an email. And it comes on the heels of the company?s first app, Simple Fruit Bowl. All the apps sell for just 99 cents at the Apple App Store.
Early next year, the company plans to roll out apps for the Google Android lineup.
?We?re not trying to build the biggest, craziest, most graphic intense apps out there,? said Roy Krauthamer, co founder. ?Mobile apps is a growing market. We?re trying to jump into it.?
The first two apps are like ?virtual sticker books,? Krauthamer said. And he plans to continue the franchise into the Holiday season with a mobile app based on the Jewish Dreidel.
