ANN ARBOR – Hong Deng has joined Fulcrum Edge as part of the company’s ongoing focus to help businesses in emerging markets and growth industries. Her specialty is business modeling, strategic planning, and project management; strengths particularly well-suited for companies contemplating growth, mergers or acquisitions.

She has a strong background in Chinese business and both Chinese and German cultures. Her industry experience includes finance, logistics, supply chain management, and automotive.

Before joining Fulcrum Edge, she was a branding project lead and acquisition project associate for Beijing West Industries. Hong was also a business analyst for Con-Way Transportation Services, advising executive management on business expansion, process improvement and M&A issues. She began her career with Aeltus Investment Management, supporting Exxon?s EAFE international index fund and other fund analyses.

She holds a Vor-Diplom in Economics from Bergische Universit�t Gesamt Hochschule Wuppertal (Germany), a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College, and a Master of Arts in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan. She is a Business Manager for the Detroit Chinese Business Association, Vice Principal of Public Relations for the Annhua Chinese School, and was an Adjunct Faculty member in Economics and Statistics at Cleary University. Hong is fluent in English, Mandarin and German.

Hong resides in Ann Arbor with her husband and three children.
