DETROIT – Compuware Corp. added two new board members Thursday. Joining the board were Jeffrey J. Clarke, managing partner at Augusta Columbia Capital Inc., a New York City-based tech-focused private equity firm, and Jennifer J. Raab, president of Hunter College, the largest college in the City University of New York system.
Leaving the board are Glenda D. Price, president of Marygrove College from 1998 to 2006 and president of the Michigan Colleges Foundation from 2006 to 2008, and Ralph J. Szygenda, who was CIO of General Motors from 2000 to 2009 (and before that, CIO of Verizon and Texas Instruments).
Clarke is a former IT executive with nearly 30 years of tech industry experience. Prior to joining Augusta Columbia Capital, he was CEO of Travelport Ltd., a technology and distribution company in the travel industry. Clarke also served as the COO of CA Technologies, leading the IT services firm during a CEO transition. Clarke is currently board chairman of Orbitz Worldwide and a director at Travelport and Red Hat Inc.
As president of Hunter College, Raab has been responsible for successfully raising academic standards while strengthening and modernizing the college?s system of fiscal management. Prior to joining Hunter College, she served as chairman and commissioner of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. In addition to her management and academic experience, Raab has significant legal expertise, serving as a litigator at two law firms: Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Boards of Directors of The After School Corporation and United Way, and on the Steering Committee of the Association for a Better New York.
Earlier this year, independent directors David Fubini, a senior director at McKinsey & Co., and Lee Roberts, president and CEO of Armonk, N.Y.-based Blue Water Consulting and a former IBM executive, were appointed to the Compuware board.
