?Schlage LiNK delivers peace of mind to homeowners through the most prolific communication platform ever ? the mobile phone.? said Garrick Pohl, Crayon Interface?s CEO. ?We are very excited to partner with Schlage, a company that has a rich heritage of more than 85 years of providing homeowners with premium door locks.?
Schlage LiNK is an intelligent residential security platform using wireless communication protocols and the highest levels of network security standards available. Schlage has also designed the solution to be simple to install, leveraging Crayon Interface?s Network Device Manager technology, for a plug-and-play customer experience.
“We are happy to provide homeowners the first and only wireless-controlled door lock that provides convenience to consumers’ active lifestyles,” says Dwight Gibson, general manager, Intelligent Residential Security, for Ingersoll Rand, the parent company of Schlage. “Crayon Interface has proven expertise to create user-friendly mobile platforms and strict security standard and played a key role to help us develop a solution that is much more than just a door lock.”
Schlage LiNK deadbolts and locks provide keyless entry through 4-digit access codes that can be entered, activated, deleted or disabled on the lock’s 11-digit push button keypad, or via the Schlage LiNK web portal or mobile application. The solution, which hits store shelves in late October, gives homeowners the freedom of never having to carry or circulate multiple sets of keys, coupled with the ability to instantaneously grant access to family members, friends, unexpected house guests, and service professionals such as cable repair technicians, pet sitters and housekeepers.
Schlage LiNK locks are the first Z-Wave-enabled locks and work seamlessly with more than 300 other Z-Wave-enabled home automation devices including products ranging from lighting and temperature to pool and spa controls. The Schlage LiNK online portal or mobile phone applications provide homeowners with a dashboard to monitor and control all of their Z-Wave enabled home automation devices in addition to the Schlage LiNK.
