AUBURN HILLS – The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be the beneficiary of Plexus Systems’ PowerPlex 2008 which will be held May 19-21 in Grand Rapids. Plexus is an on-demand software for manufacturers.

The main fundraiser is Plexus’ first annual charity golf

tournament on May 19 at the Thousand Oaks Golf Club in Grand Rapids.

Sponsorship funding and golfer entry fees will go toward the charity, and

Plexus Systems will match the funds raised at the tournament. A raffle also

will help raise donations.

“Our employees selected this charity, because they are aware of the

great need to find a cure for cystic fibrosis,? said Plexus CEO Mark Symounds. ?Some of our fellow employees are caring for children affected by this disease. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has assists these families. We are grateful for these services and our company wants to give back with full support.?

Representatives from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be at

PowerPlex 2008 to inform more than 200 attendees about research, therapy

and services provided to people affected by the disease.

“Because we receive no federal funding, we depend on the generosity of

corporations. We remain committed to enhancing the lives of those with

cystic fibrosis and ultimately to finding a cure,” said Pam Ogg, executive

director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Metro Detroit-Northwest Ohio

Chapter.

attend the conference, as well as participate in the charity golf
