GRAND RAPIDS – For the third consecutive year, Davenport University has been awarded the designation of a Military Friendly School by G.I. Jobs.
The 2013 Military Friendly Schools list will honor the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America?s military service members and veterans as students. G.I. Jobs carefully chooses each school on the list after considering reviews by current veteran students at universities across the country.
G.I. Jobs reports that 8 million military members are seeking a school, making it an important market segment for Davenport University.
?Davenport University is proud to continue recognition as a G.I. Jobs Military Friendly School,? said Scott Lemmon, Director of Admissions and Partnerships. Davenport strives to continue and expand the benefits and services offered to military students.?
In addition to benefits for military service members and veterans, Davenport has a highly qualified military admissions team comprised of veterans who can relate to America?s heroes on a personal level. The University also has a robust population of student veterans who actively participate in Student Veterans of America.
