GRAND RAPIDS – Davenport University’s Career Service and Military Support teams are offering a free resume workshop for veterans, military personnel, and their spouses on all Davenport University campuses on Feb. 17.
A knowledgeable Career Services representative will be available to assist veterans in translating their military service and work history into an effective resume for a private sector or non-profit career.
Veterans will be assisted with translating their military experience into a professional resume that will work in both public and private industries. Staff from Davenport University?s Career Services team will also assist veterans on how to use their updated resumes as an ?interview script? and show hiring managers that previous military experience translates well into the workplace.
Veterans planning on attending should bring the following information:
-Copies of current resume
-Enlisted or Officer Reviews (OERs, NCOERs, FITREPs, etc.)
-DD-214s
-Award Narratives
