GRAND RAPIDS ? The Institute for Professional Excellence, Davenport University?s corporate education and coaching division, invites managers of all levels to participate in its Leadership for Performance and Finance for the Non-Financial Manager training programs.

Leadership for Performance will take place Nov. 18-19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Finance for the Non-Financial Managers is scheduled for Dec. 2-3 from 8:30 to 4:30 pm. Both will be held at the Peter C. Cook Center at 45 Ottawa NW in Grand Rapids.

Both two-day programs will further participants? abilities to lead others, get things done, and obtain results for their organizations.

?The Leadership for Performance program prepares emerging leaders within organizations to better foster and lead motivated, enthusiastic teams, improving performance and profitability,? said David Lawrence, Vice President of IPEx. ??Finance for the Non-Financial Manager,? meanwhile, helps bring competent leaders and managers up to speed on budget and finance terminology that might not have been part of their educational background but becomes increasingly important with expanded management responsibilities.

?We already offer these programs on-site within large organizations,? said Lawrence, ?but there are many smaller companies that will benefit from sending emerging leaders from within their organizations to these programs, conveniently hosted at Davenport?s Peter C. Cook Center in downtown Grand Rapids.?
