GRAND RAPIDS ? Dematic is offering a series of Warehouse Logistics Conferences focused on the operation and maintenance of material handling systems in the warehouse and distribution center.

The conference will offer presentations on how to improve the performance of automated/mechanized material handling technology, controls and software, as well as increase warehouse operational performance and employee productivity.

The first Warehouse Logistics Conference will be held in Columbus, Ohio, on September 23. Other Warehouse Logistics Conferences will be offered at cities across the USA in 2011. The schedule of cities and dates in 2011 will be announced later.

Attendees can select from three session tracks: warehouse operations, maintenance/modernization, and software/controls. Participants will learn how to improve equipment performance with upgrade kits, will review best practice maintenance methods, and will see recommendations on how to extend the life of mechanized/automated material handling systems. Furthermore, warehouse process improvement and best practice solutions for order fulfillment will be presented. Managers and engineers that design, operate and maintain warehouses or distribution centers will benefit from attending the event.

Warehouse logistics education is usually provided at the historic ?Red Schoolhouse? on the Dematic engineering campus in Grand Rapids. With the Warehouse Logistics Conference road show, Dematic brings the informational content taught at the Red Schoolhouse, to cities around the USA.
