DETROIT – Detroit Media Partnership Tuesday introduced a Michigan web portal site that features news from around the state, as well as information about weather, sports, traffic, entertainment and recreation.

Content for the site is provided by more than 30 organizations. They

include: Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News as well as major news sources

in Lansing, Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Traverse City and others that

extend the site’s coverage throughout the state, including Northern

Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

“Michigan.com is a comprehensive site, where users can find all the

Michigan news and information they need,” said Susie Ellwood, CEO, Detroit

Media Partnership. “This site gathers content from around Michigan, and

puts it in one easy place for users to find.?

The unique design of the site allows users to easily customize their

own Michigan.com home page by selecting and positioning topic boxes based

on their interests. Based on user feedback and usage, new topics and

features will be added regularly.

Michigan.com also provides opportunities for businesses to reach people

living and visiting the state through a variety of advertising positions

and sponsorship options.
