ANN ARBOR – ERT Systems, which provides automated resource tracking systems for first responders, announced that the Rumson, New Jersey fire department has selected OnSite ERT as its primary accountability solution.

Rumson FD currently has 50 volunteer firefighters who serve a population of 7,200 across 5.2 square miles. The department will use OnSite ERT to automatically track and locate firefighters and equipment while deployed on scene, using wireless ID tags, portable receivers, and the PAR incident command software.

The department received a grant from the Fireman�??s Fund Heritage Program to purchase the system. ERT Systems LLC offers OnSite ERT, a portable and rapidly-deployable system for tracking and locating personnel and equipment on-scene at emergency events.

First installed in early 2006 at the Macomb County Community College Firefighter Training Facility, OnSite ERT has earned a number of awards and accolades, including recognition at the Michigan Homeland Security Consortium�??s SELECT awards.

OnSite ERT is on the DHS Authorized Equipment List and is approved for grant purchase.
