PORTAGE ? Government software developer Manatron announced that the Escambia County Tax Collector in Pensacola, Fla., has purchased its Government Revenue Management Tax system, an upgrade from the Tax Collector?s current Manatron software ? MVP Tax.
The Escambia County Tax Collector selected Manatron based on the company?s experience in Escambia County and other counties in Florida. The Escambia County Tax Collector is responsible for more than 160,000 parcels and is joining Sarasota County to become the second county in Florida to migrate to Manatron?s GRM software. Palm Beach County is also live on GRM Tax.
Manatron?s GRM installation positions the Escambia County Tax Collector to take advantage of the next generation of web-based software and will provide tax collector staff with more technical support and increased efficiency. The software also provides the tax collector with additional functionality for data query, reporting and analysis.
Manatron is a Thomson Reuters business. Manatron?s software manages the entire property life cycle, which includes land registry, cadastral mapping, deed recording, land records, GIS (Geographic Information System) integration, valuation, assessment administration, personal property, business licenses, cashiering, tax billing and collection, delinquents and tax sales and e-government. Manatron currently serves over 1,600 customers and manages approximately 65 million parcels.
