GRAND RAPIDS – The Grand Rapids Junior Chamber walked away from a national conference, held June 8‐12 with some top national honors.
Matt Sernau was awarded the 2010 Charles Kulp Jr Memorial Award Winner (Outstanding Local
President for 2010). Matt was one of 10 to receive this award.
Lisa Kludy, 2010 management vice president, and Emily Baranowski, 2010 community vice president,
were named Outstanding Local Vice Presidents. They were two out of seven people to win this national
award.
The Grand Rapids Junior Chamber received first place in the Community Development area as well as
the top chapter in their division.
The Grand Rapids Junior Chamber, a nonprofit group comprising local leaders between the ages of 21
and 40, sponsor various community projects throughout the year.
The Grand Rapids Junior Chamber meets at 5:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Days
