ROYAL OAK – Software development company iwerk has recently completed an eCommerce project on the Ford Accessories website to handle online payment and shipping.
The work was done by iwerk’s Royal Oak office, and involved integrating several web services such as Paypal, Fedex and Avalara, to provide payment, shipping options, labels, and tax calculations. In addition, a dealer registration module was also built for Ford Accessories to encourage their participation.
“The back end processing of transactions is now much more accommodating, making for an improved customer checkout experience at Ford Accessories,” comments Tom Lewis, CEO of iwerk.
iwerk partnered with Ford ad agency, TeamDetroit-Ogilvy, on the project.
