GRAND RAPIDS ? Jerry Brown, current president of Lawrence Productions, a West Michigan video production company, has purchased the company from founder John Lawrence. Terms were not announced.
?We?ll continue to provide the same excellent service and quality our clients have come to expect,? Brown said.
The company was started in Battle Creek by Lawrence and his wife Joanne in 1985 to provide high quality local video production. An early client was WUHQ?s (now WOTV 41). Lawrence provided support for the TV station?s high school sports broadcasts.
“Lawrence Productions has met all the challenges of changes in technology and in the market place mainly due to the skill and dedication of our staff,? said Lawrence. ?I am pleased that Jerry Brown will be using the same team to meet the needs of our clients in the future.?
One of the first initiatives under the new ownership will be the roll-out of their new full service HD production services.
?We are encouraging all of our clients to begin producing projects in High Definition now, simultaneously creating a library of HD content for future use,? Brown said.
